As a Construction Superintendent, you will:
- Supervise on-site personnel, forecast crew size, and maintain performance records.
- Develop job schedule, update as needed with the Project Manager.
- Review all specifications, subcontracts, and schedules. Coordinate activity with subcontractors.
- Enforce all jobsite safety requirements as defined by Safety Program, OSHA, HAZCOM, and Safety Director.
- Review all material specifications and purchase orders for all materials. Anticipate needs and coordinate delivery dates for all materials.
- Understand jobsite maintenance procedures.
- Knowledgeable of all equipment at job site.
- Maintains all necessary jobsite paperwork, including, but not limited to; comprehensive daily log, delivery tickets (verifies deliveries and submits tickets to the office weekly), field work orders, timecards, plans, specs and shop drawings, purchase orders and subcontracts, as-built drawings, and project photos.
- Work consistent with plans, specifications, and good judgment. Creates a positive, professional, and friendly environment.
- Ensures project is constructed in accordance with design and within budget, to be turned over on the scheduled date of completion.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Construction Superintendent Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, high attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
