Responsibilities
Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Administrative Professional, Director's Action Group (DAG), with government contractual execution experience to provide Program Management Office (PMO) support to the United States Space Force (USSF) Operational Command and Control (C2) Acquisition Delta responsible for developing software and the supporting architecture for the organize, understand, plan, decide, direct, and monitor capabilities within the C2 Joint Capability Areas (JCAs). A successful candidate should be a self-starter who possesses initiative, excellent communication skills, the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and how is a proven problem solver. Job responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Providing high-level admin support to senior level leadership
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
- Managing status of cross-Delta acquisition pathway milestones and associated documentation
- Supporting the Government in management of Industry Engagements
- Maintaining a list of current contractors and sub-contractors, to include University Affiliated Research Centers and Federally Funded Research and Development Centers,
- Maintaining a repository of current contracts and associated data and contract summary lists
- Populating and managing Delta-wide SSC Executive View (SEV) pages and associated coordination and reporting
- Maintaining Delta-wide Contracting Officer Representative (COR) designations and maintain an updated list of COR assignments.
- Providing status of pending, received, and approved CDRLs and invoices to the Government
- Forecasting Delta-wide contract expirations and milestones for initiation and execution of acquisition plans for contract follow-on(s)
- Supporting the development, modification, coordination, and approval of acquisition strategy document(s), acquisition plans, and other acquisitions and contract supporting material
- Supporting and performing contract evaluations, source selections, and other acquisitions and contract-related actions per Government request and approval.
- Supporting coordination with contractors, program managers, contracting officers, financial managers, program attorneys, security representatives, and other functional support regarding the execution of new and current contracts.
- Providing meeting support including room reservations, dial in coordination and dissemination of meeting materials before and after the meeting, and projection during meetings
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail and distribution IAW local facility practices
- Supporting leadership transitions through development of continuity document and transfer of information and material
- Working with and supporting external Administrative Support actions and organizations
- Initiating taskers on behalf of the Government to include development of Staff Summary Sheets
- Managing Government taskers with Tasker Management Tool (TMT)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 15 years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience
- Experience working with DoD or IC acquisition organizations
- DAU Contracting Certification
- Knowledge of FAR and DFARS
- Experience using MS365 Office Suite
- Understanding Defense Department and/or Space Force organizational structure, policies, and culture
- Familiarity with Defense Travel Service (DTS)
- Familiarity with security procedures such as sending Visit Access Requests (VARs)
- Experience handling high level taskers and can utilize reporting systems
- Experience with defense or government reporting systems
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, specifically attention to detail along with effective time and project management skills
Desired Experience:
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command (SSC)
- User experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence
- Experience setting up technical communications system such as Teams, Zoom, Tannenberg
- Familiarity with Task Management Tool (TMT)
Education /Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- 10 years of related professional experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
Security Clearance Level Required:
- Active Secret (Must be a U.S. Citizen)
Location/Travel Requirements:
- Place of work is El Segundo, CA area, remote work opportunity is limited
- May require travel up to 20% of time within the continental United States
The pay range for this position in California is $70,000/year to $95,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
