Family & Children's Services is looking for a Case Manager to provide targeted support services to families with children attending Tulsa Public Schools. The Case Manager coordinates mental health and community services with the needs of children and families by preventing out-of-home placements, increasing time spent at school, and encircling families with support and resources. The Case Manager will work with children and parents in the community at Tulsa Public Schools' Parent Resource Center while incorporating the entire family in treatment options.

Family & Children's Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. With nine citywide locations and partnerships with the Tulsa Public Library, Tulsa County Jail, Salvation Army, Irongate, Tulsa Public Schools, Headstart and more, F&CS serves 1 in 6 Tulsans with a broad range of mental health programs and services.

Requirements:



  • Case Manager II: Must be a high school graduate or have a HS equivalent + 36 months experience in behavioral health field OR 60 hours college credit in any field + 12 months of behavioral health experience required.
  • Case Manager III: Bachelor's Degree in any field + 6 months experience in a behavioral health field required
  • Case Manager IV: Bachelor's degree in social science field required Case Management II certification or obtain by taking the first available Case Management Certification course provided by ODMHSAS after hire.
  • Must have a strong commitment to the right and ability of each person served to live in normal community residences; and have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services.
  • Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with mental illnesses and/or substance abuse issues and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential.
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.



CCBHC Model of Care

Family & Children's Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery. Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to:



  1. Increased access to care and crisis services
  2. Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
  3. Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
  4. Greater access to Social Services for clients' economic and social needs
  5. Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.
