Adult Psychiatrist is responsible for outpatient psychiatric care of medical and psychiatric adult clients, liaison for hospital and structure emergency care for patients, and participation in patient care teams. Psychiatrist demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring disorders and appropriate interventions. Primary responsibilities are treatment planning based on diagnostic need. Psychiatrist works collaboratively with a wide range of clinical professionals to ensure treatment is holistic and recovery focused. New patient appointments are 40 minutes and follow ups 20 minutes.

Additional Psychiatrist responsibilities include lab management, treatment team participation, documentation in EHR, documentation for Patient Assistance Program (free pharmaceutical programs). No on-call, no weekends or holiday hours. Monday through Friday some evening hours desired. Robust benefit options available. Normal office hours, with some evening and weekend clinic hours for clients. Generally will treat over 20 patients daily.

Requirements



  • Medical Degree with psychiatry specialty .
  • Previous experience in community-based mental health organization is desired.
  • Extensive experience diagnosing mental health problems with adult & children clients.
  • Must have appropriate credentials to practice psychiatry in Oklahoma.

Family & Children's Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery. Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to:



  1. Increased access to care and crisis services
  2. Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
  3. Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
  4. Greater access to Social Services for clients' economic and social needs
  5. Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.
