Program Supervisor of Adult Education

Description

The Adult Education Supervisor will work collaboratively with the Employment Supervisor and report to the Women's Justice Program (WJP) Director of Employment & Education. Responsibilities include staff supervision, project management, fidelity to grant requirements, reporting, crafting procedures, establishing and enhancing community partnerships, and leading education expansion efforts. These include running High School Equivalency (HSE) programming and post-secondary pathways in partnership with partnering institutions in an effort to increase educational attainment leading to true living wages. Will ensure quality service, provide case consultation, encourage a continuous learning environment, and develop self and employees for success and high performance.

WJP Education programming is specifically provided to women and men who have experienced criminal legal involvement. High School Equivalency classes and testing are offered in community, office, and jail settings as a proven method for reducing recidivism and increasing potential for living wage employment. Post-secondary pathways focused on in-demand occupations are offered in collaboration with educational institution partners to further educational attainment. The Adult Education Supervisor will oversee the above described programming and pending expansion efforts to increase educational access and quality standards.

Qualifications



  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
  • Must have 2-5 years' management and supervision experience or 2-5 years experience with Adult Education
  • Requires Oklahoma Teacher Certification
  • Must possess a Drivers License and use personal and agency automobiles to travel to locations other than primary office.



CCBHC Model of Care

Family & Children's Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery. Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to:



  1. Increased access to care and crisis services
  2. Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
  3. Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
  4. Greater access to Social Services for clients' economic and social needs
  5. Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.

This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.
