NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Manager, Digital Project Management based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

This person plays a crucial role in defining and upholding the standards for the project management team and is responsible for leading and overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are executed within established guidelines, timelines, and budgets. The Manager's focus extends to areas such as search engine optimization, web accessibility, quality assurance testing, and maintaining high-quality product deliverables.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the planning phase of projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Identify and assess project risks, developing risk mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project success.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and refine project management methodologies that align with organizational goals.
  • Review and translate business objectives into project requirements, SOWs, BRDs, and Project Timelines
  • Review and translate design objectives into technical requirements, development tickets, testing plans, and task scoping.
  • Plan and document current department processes and recommend tools and ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Meet frequently with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a strong understanding of over-arching business needs and reconcile those needs with current department goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality and standards throughout project lifecycles; implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed established criteria.
  • Participate in product testing of new and existing features through Quality Assurance ( QA) and UAT ( User Acceptance Testing ) processes.
  • Monitor SEO and ADA standards across digital products, both detecting issues and recommending enhancements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest ADA trends, including cross training across multiple teams.
  • Log website and business user issues; track bugs/defects with third party and internal development resources
  • Participate in daily standups to communicate project progress, upcoming timelines, and potential blockers.
  • Maintain up-to-date department documents using department designated tools (Confluence, JIRA, Trello, etc.)
  • Travel: < 5%, including weekends
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of five (5) years digital or e-commerce experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient on all company provided hardware and software.
