SC Johnson (SCJ) is recognized a leader in marketing innovation, and its success is built solidly upon understanding consumer insights and behavior. The Consumer Insights & Business Analytics (CIBA) division partners with the Global Marketing and Marketing Commercialization teams, employing forward-thinking, consumer-centric research designs and in-depth, holistic data analysis. As a CIBA intern, you will be responsible for all phases of research and analysis needed on your projects in the pursuit of a deeper understanding of consumer insights and behaviors which will lead to sound business growth strategies.

Our CIBA internship program prepares first year MBAs for the responsibilities of a CIBA professional. By working as part of a cross-functional team to tackle real business challenges, you will develop key skills such as:

  • Understanding business issues and translating these into research plans that fit into your budget.

  • Executing the plan, including managing outside marketing research vendors as needed.

  • Analyzing new research and leveraging existing data to uncover consumer insights.

  • Reporting and presenting learnings and recommendations in a concise and actionable way.

  • Working alongside the business team to creatively translate insights into business action.

  • Housing: Subsidized housing is available in Milwaukee, Racine, or Chicago, helping interns to experience living in the areas surrounding our corporate and North America headquarters. SCJ does not provide daily transportation to your work location.

  • Company Store: You'll have access to our on-site company stores (Racine locations) to purchase SCJ products at a discount.

  • Johnson Mutual Benefits Association (JMBA) Center: Visit the hub of SCJ recreation and fitness programs in Racine for 146 acres of outdoor activities at Armstrong Park and 50,000-square-feet of indoor space including the Raymond F. Farley Aquatic Center.

  • Events: Enjoy getting to know fellow interns and networking with SCJ team members throughout the summer at events that encourage camaraderie and connection.

  • Exposure to Senior Leaders: During your internship, you'll connect directly with senior members of the organization to gain insights, ask questions, and present your project learnings.

  • Training: We provide a formalized training program that includes topics such as neuroscience, behavioral economics, and business analytics and others necessitated by the specific project(s).

  • Coaching and Mentoring: From day one, you will receive support and coaching from an experienced manager and advice from a mentor to help answer any questions you may have along the way.

  • Flexibility to participate in Summer Hours, which allows you to complete your work week by noon on Friday.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Must be enrolled and seeking MBA or a related degree with a graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.

  • 2-3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Available to complete internship early June 2025 through early August 2025.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • At least 3 years of previous internship or work experience within the industry (preferably).

  • Global experience/exposure.

  • Passion for innovation.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building internal and external relationships.

  • Proactive and committed to delivering results by fostering a sense of ownership and curiosity.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Demonstrates learning agility and the ability to manage projects, independent thinking, and initiatives with minimal direction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time Monday- Friday.

  • 10-week summer internship.

  • This position is not eligible for remote work.
