What you'll be doing...

Verizon's Global Enterprise and Public Sector marketing team will look to you to lead the development, execution, management, and optimization of end-to-end marketing campaigns targeting Federal and Public Sector customers that align with overall business strategies and drive demand for Verizon Business Group's products and services. You will work with the Public Sector Associate Director of Growth Marketing, the Sr. Directors of Growth and Field Marketing, and other Program leads in the creation of campaign strategy as well as tactical planning, execution, and reporting.

This role demands a deep understanding of the Public Sector space, Account Based Marketing (1:many, 1:few, and 1:1), B2B marketing strategies, data-driven decision making, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams to ensure alignment with business goals. You will partner with industry SMEs, Market Insights, Field Marketing, ABM Marketing, and Sales teams to build insights-led, customer-focused campaigns and then collaborate with creative and channel marketing teams to execute them. Campaigns will span the entire customer journey from awareness through post-purchase. The success of the campaigns will be aligned to driving sales and measured in account engagement, funnel growth, and other marketing KPIs that align to the campaign goals. Strong analytical skills, creativity, and expertise in digital marketing tools and platforms are essential for this position.

You will be responsible for planning, executing and managing marketing campaigns to increase leads, brand awareness, customer engagement and drive demand for VBG products and services. You will be responsible for the overall campaign management, including market research, target audience segmentation and building ICPs, content development and execution, digital marketing campaign performance and tactical recommendations. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage your expertise in marketing strategies to drive results. You will operate by leading peers from cross-functional teams including but not limited to: Sales, Sales Enablement, Marketing Strategy, Growth Campaign Strategy, Field Marketing, ABM Marketing, Paid Media, Digital Marketing, CMO, Data Science & Customer Analytics, and Tech Operations.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:
  • Partnering with Product Marketing, Segment Marketing, Customer Market Research, and internal and external SMEs to develop a deep understanding of Federal and other Public Sector customers, to include key business challenges, their top operational objectives as well as their buying behaviors.

  • Working with the segment teams, SMEs, and Marketing Intelligence to identify target accounts, Ideal Customer Profiles, and highly propensed buying groups.

  • Designing and implementing innovative marketing campaigns tailored to engage the unique needs of Federal and Public Sector customers and their constituents, ensuring that campaigns align with business objectives and brand values.

  • Developing an end-to-end customer journey with tactics and scoring to identify engaged customers and accounts and drive them to 1:1 sales engagement.

  • Developing a content strategy for the entire buyer group, and all stages of the buying journey.

  • Developing clear value propositions for each campaign that addresses customer pain points and showcases the solutions that help businesses solve those challenges.

  • Utilizing SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, webinars, content syndication and other digital tools to optimize campaign reach and effectiveness.

  • Tracking and analyzing campaign and sales performance using key metrics to assess effectiveness and ROI. Adjusting strategies as necessary based on data-driven insights. Staying informed about market trends and competitor activities to anticipate shifts in the industry and adjust campaigns accordingly.

  • Regularly reporting results to Sales and Marketing leadership.

What we're looking for...

We're looking for a strategic marketer who possesses a blend of analytical, promotional, and interpersonal skills, along with a curiosity that drives you to find creative solutions to complex problems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the Federal and Public Sector markets and will be comfortable analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights and developing end-to-end campaign strategies. Must be willing to develop a deep understanding of and empathy for the customer's needs and challenges, placing them at the heart of all campaign strategies and have a demonstrated ability to adapt campaign strategies and tactics in response to changing market conditions and emerging opportunities. Must be able to work effectively in team settings, valuing input from multiple sources and fostering cross-departmental cooperation.

You'll need to have:
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in marketing and/or marketing to Federal and/or Public Sector agencies and customers.

  • Campaign management experience.

  • Experience overseeing projects from conception to execution, managing timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.

  • Experience clearly conveying campaign strategies and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience managing third party vendors to execute campaign tactics.

  • Knowledge of ABM theory as well as execution tools like Marketo, Demandbase and/or 6Sense as well as CRM platforms like Salesforce.

  • Experience with customer analytics and campaign success measures.

  • Experience analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insight.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • An MBA or a relevant advanced degree.

  • Experience in marketing complex technology solutions to public sector customers.

  • Super-user skills with tools like Marketo and Salesforce.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, CRM software, and data visualization platforms like Tableau.

  • Managed agency vendor relationships including scoping, budgeting, quality, and timelines.

  • Ability to translate complex ideas and express them in concise, simple to understand ways.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and multi-task across projects.

  • Ability to interface with executive and C-suite leadership to develop and represent work.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $105,000.00 and $212,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
