The MRI Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting MRI Technologist with procedural tasks and basic supportive care to patients and families.

Schedule: (Contingent, Non-Benefits Eligible)

Monday to Friday - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

    Prepares patients and all related documentation for imaging procedures, transporting patients to and from the ED/UC areas.
  • Process RIS orders as requested by radiographer.
  • Maintains stock of imaging supplies and cleanliness within each procedure room.
  • Responsible for performing technical tasks and direct patient care under the supervision of a radiographer, performs a variety of non-technical tasks and indirect patient care activities.
  • Maintains knowledge of current applications in Radiology and complies with regulatory guidelines and policies.
  • Maintains a variety of section and department functions.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current student in accredited Radiologic Technology Program, preferred.

Certification:

  • Current CPR Certification, required

Skills:

  • High level of communication and organizational skills
  • High level of professionalism and ability to establish good rapport with patients and staff

Experience:

  • 1 year clinical experience, preferred.
