Overview

TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a globally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country's most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.

TRC is seeking a Data Analyst II to support Advanced Energy Programs in the Central U.S. region. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geospatial and non-spatial data analysis and developing reports on all programs sponsored by the regional utility clients. Must have the knowledge and expertise to create and modify mapping and analysis tools to meet changing reporting needs. The Data Analyst will also be called upon to create specific reports based on requests from the Management, Engineering, Program Development, Operations, Marketing, and Business Development functions of the programs; must possess strong communication and team skills as the applicant will need to communicate with many employees within the program as well as the client to validate data and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

The core objectives of this position will be to provide reports, analytics, cartographic products in a clear, accurate, and timely manner to the team and client. This position will include, but not limited to, the following tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, design, implement, and maintain recurring reports and visualizations
  • Identify and implement additional ad hoc analyses through coordination with team members to identify opportunities for program improvement
  • These tasks will be accomplished through effective utilization of GIS software, Excel and PowerPoint as well as effective communication among internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Residency in Oklahoma.
  • Bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience performing geospatial/nonspatial data analysis
  • 2+ years creating using tools to create reports, dashboards, and data exploration.
  • Professional communication skills
  • Creative thinking and out of the box solution mindset
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (i.e. outlook, word, excel, power point, teams, SharePoint).
  • Advanced Skills in Excel.
  • Strong teamwork skills that include highly effective communication in-person, over email, over chat and over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team and customers.
  • Attention-to-detail to ensure project submittals meet the clients' criteria for eligibility and completeness.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with low to no margin of error.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to monitor and manage project progress and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to uncovering insights and trends to support our program initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Understanding and/or experience of energy efficiency, demand response, and/or renewable energy solutions or programs metrics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of geospatial analysis techniques and applications within GIS software.
  • Self-driven and a team player with established critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience promoting process documentation, optimization, and automation.
  • Any advanced certification relevant to position (such as MS Excel, MS Dynamics, Google Data Analytics Professional, IBM Data Analyst Professional, MS Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, SAS Statistics Business Analyst Professional Certificate, CompTIA Data Analytics Plus Certification, Meta Data Analyst Professional Certificate).

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
