Educational Assistant/Safety Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as an educational assistant and safety aide. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and orderly environment for students during lunch periods and throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to student well-being, and the ability to enforce school policies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Work collaboratively with a team to monitor students working on Wisconsin Virtual Classes classes within the school day.



  • Supervise and monitor students during lunch in the cafeteria, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.



  • Oversee student behavior in locker rooms, restrooms, and at exterior doors, promoting compliance with school rules and safety policies.



  • Enforce all building and district policies, specifically the closed campus policy, to ensure student safety.



  • Respond to any behavioral issues or emergencies in a calm and professional manner.



  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support a positive school culture.



  • Assist in the implementation of safety protocols and procedures.



  • Make copies for teaching staff and ensure the building copiers are maintained and stocked.



  • Perform other duties as assigned by school administrators.





Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in a school setting is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse student populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to enforce rules fairly and consistently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
