We are currently seeking a Medicaid Enterprise Architect to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama (US-AL), United States (US).

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama. This can be a remote position with limited travel to the client's site.

The Enterprise Architect (EA) will play a key role in the Medicaid Enterprise Architecture practice and support the Alabama Medicaid modular transformation and modernization program. They will demonstrate an ability to perform detailed analysis of Business, Information, and Technology architecture, and create models to ensure stakeholder understanding and alignment. They will provide consulting services during procurement, design, development, and implementation of a modular Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). They will provide subject matter expertise on system architecture, while maintaining an enterprise-level view of business needs.

The EA Team creates and maintains architecture models and artifacts that define the current and future state of the Medicaid enterprise and serves as a gatekeeper to ensure proposed system changes align with the overall vision and business needs.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) and the CMS Seven Standards and Conditions. They will have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Objectively analyze technology, data, business processes and requirements
  • Collaborate with business user teams and subject matter experts to understand business goals and identify proposed technical solutions
  • Create standardized architecture models using an industry-standard EA tool as a repository
  • Maintain architecture repository following defined processes and EA governance
  • Enforce EA standards to ensure consistency across the enterprise
  • Consult with project teams as the EA and provide technical guidance
  • Participate in design reviews and provide support from an EA perspective
  • Track industry trends and emerging technologies to enable making informed recommendations to the Medicaid enterprise

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5years of experience in Information Technology (IT) architecture, which may include system design, solutions architecture, software development, development operations, infrastructure, or similar work
  • Minimum 3years of experience working with business subject matter experts, analyzing business processes, and understanding information flow and system dependencies
  • Minimum 3years of experience with The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), or similar industry-standard modeling frameworks
  • Minimum 3years of experience working with an industry-standard enterprise architecture tool
  • Minimum 1years working with Medicaid Transformation Initiatives
  • Minimum 3years advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel to client site as needed, up to 25% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare programs (i.e., Medicaid, CHIP, TANF) and understanding of underlying systems and data
  • Experience with IT architecture using Cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience working on large multi-vendor projects or teams
  • Experience with transformation projects of large-scale legacy systems
  • Experience working with an Enterprise Architecture tool such as iServer or Sparx EA.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $89,032 - $145,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
