About the Position
The Maricopa County Department of Public Health is playing a crucial role in tackling emerging health threats, including syphilis, through our Surveillance for Emerging Threats to Mothers and Babies Network (SET-NET) program. As a SET-NET Program Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of public health innovation, working with a dedicated team to combat critical health threats. We Require
Two years developing, delivering, coordinating, and organizing public health programs and/or activities in collaboration with interdisciplinary groups and partners Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Science or other related field A combination of post-secondary education and/orjob-related experience may substitute for theminimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Performs collection and medical record abstraction for the mothers/babies who meet the SET-NET inclusion criteria in accordance with HIPAA compliant health information sharing Plans, organizes, coordinates, and administers the activities of the Congenital Syphilis, Surveillance for Emerging Threats to Mothers and Babies Network (SET-NET) program, ensuring alignment with the established goals and priorities In collaboration with epidemiology staff and STI program leadership, creates written reports for SET-NET related activities, monitors and ensures that SET-NET grant milestones are completed on time Attends all SET-NET related meetings and webinars as scheduled and participates in information sharing at SET-NET workgroup calls and other assigned platforms by presenting and distributing materials Supports communication and coordination between the Maricopa County Department of Public Health Leadership, STI team, Epidemiology team and CDC in timely and accurate data reporting Formulates policies and procedures for SET-NET related activities Implements and makes changes as appropriate, ensuring continuous quality enhancement Coordinates developing training and informational material to promote public understanding of syphilis during pregnancy Assists in outreach and education to providers and healthcare professionals and to individuals who are at high-risk Develops and strengthens partnerships with clinical and community organizations Works with other internal departments and external agencies to coordinate and develop programs to enhance congenital syphilis related activities Provides training and direction to the SET-NET assigned Perinatal Case Workers
Working Conditions
Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Valid Arizona driver's license is required upon hire Within one month of hire, all employees are required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
