Position Highlights |
This position will assist County Extension & the Community Outreach Professional in the development and presentation of a nutrition and physical activity program for children, families, and seniors. This position will work directly with these individuals as well as community site directors and leaders. There will be travel involved and a flexible work schedule will be required. This position will work in Apache County, including the Navajo Nation. This position will be based in St. Johns, AZ.

Duties & Responsibilities |
* Assists in development and presentation of subject matter in nutrition, gardening and physical activity for SNAP eligible participants through workshops, training sessions, and community events. * Assists and/or organizes, promotes, coordinates and conducts nutrition, physical education and gardening programs in Southern Apache County, including the Navajo Nation Tribal lands. Answers inquiries and provides information relating to completion of forms, meetings, materials, record keeping, composing newsletters, preparing reports and other related functions to conduct the nutrition education program for communities. * Initiates and participates in needs assessments for nutrition, physical and gardening activities. |
Minimum Qualifications |
- *High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- *Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
- *Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy and reliable transportation upon employment.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's Degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment, is preferred.
