Are you an experienced professional in Materials Management, Shipping & Receiving, and Event Coordination? We're seeking a dynamic and independent individual to lead our Materials Management operations. This role covers everything from planning and organizing workflow to budgeting, supervising teams, and ensuring high-quality work across multiple university departments and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Materials Management, Property Control, and Shipping & Receiving.
  • Coordinate with department heads, student clubs, and various organizations across the university.
  • Supervise and lead full-time and student staff in day-to-day operations, including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, and more.
  • Organize and execute timely physical inventories of University assets, ensuring compliance with handling and disposal guidelines.
  • Schedule and oversee furniture/equipment moves and event setups, ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain orderly warehouse operations and handle the logistics of surplus property disposal.
  • Flexibility required for event setups, with occasional early mornings, late nights, or weekends.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in Materials Management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of Shipping, Receiving, and Property Control processes.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Must be Forklift and Aerial Lift Certified, with an AZ Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Comfort working in an unconditioned warehouse environment and operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks daily.
