Summary of Job Duties:*This position reports to the Dean of General Education and is a 12-month faculty appointment. This position may also be eligible for overload during the fall, spring, and summer terms.
*This position is responsible for on-ground, hybrid, and online instruction. Specific course assignments are determined based on instructor credentials, availability, and course needs.
*This position will work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and the community, and teaching across academic programs as appropriate.
*Applicant must be committed to supporting community college teaching and student success. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
oassessment of student learning
outilization of the college's ERP System (Workday) and learning management system (Blackboard Ultra) and other instructional technology
ocompletion of required general and program specific faculty duties
ocollaboration across departments and divisions to ensure retention and completion efforts
oactive engagement on shared governance committees and faculty senate
oengage with students regularly in both curricular and co-curricular settings
oengage with the communities and industries partners throughout the UACCB service area
oother duties as assigned
*Course load could include computer science, computer technology, and cybersecurity courses Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
* Experience that is commensurate with achievement of academic credentials such as that it qualifies the instructor for the instruction. This could include through a minimum threshold of experience; research and/or scholarship; recognized achievement; and/or other activities and factors. (HLC Guidelines, November 2023)
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to utilize technology effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
* Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with at least 18 graduate hours in Computer Science or related field.
* Doctorate Degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution
* Teaching experience in higher education, specifically in the two-year college setting

Additional Information:

  • Position is a full-time, 12-month appointment period
  • Position is not eligible for remote, and will office on the UACCB campus

Salary Information:

$53,000-$57,000, based on level of degree and experience.
