Position: Japanese Bilingual Supply Chain Coordinator Location: Schaumburg, IL (on-site) Work hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm FLSA: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire The Supply Chain Coordinator oversees the entire supply chain process, ensuring product delivery from procurement to the consumer, while maintaining cost efficiency and quality. Key responsibilities include managing ordering from overseas factories, handling logistics, monitoring lead times, managing inventory, and preparing shipping. The role also involves regular communication with vendors and clients to ensure smooth and accurate operations. The ideal candidate should be bilingual in Japanese and English, with at least one year of supply chain experience. Responsibilities: Daily communication with overseas factories to confirm orders, schedules, and inventory status. Troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner. Managing logistics and lead-time for both incoming and outgoing shipments. Overseeing inventory in the warehouse to ensure accurate stock levels. Driving a vehicle to transport stored items or picking up items from carriers like FedEx or USPS. Performing additional duties as assigned to support operations. Qualifications: Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese (Fluent in English, conversational in Japanese required). One or more years of supply chain experience (such as logistics and inventory control) required. Experience in a supervisory role is highly preferred. Intermediate Excel skills for data management and analysis. Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for transportation.
