Salary Grade: T25 Learn more about the "T" salary structure here: https://careers.temple.edu/sites/careers/files/documents/T_Salary_Structure.pdf Job Summary: Education Abroad and Overseas Campuses serve as the central unit responsible for promoting and facilitating education abroad at Temple University. Education Abroad administers academic year, semester, and summer study abroad programs hosted by Temple's overseas campuses in Rome, Italy, and Tokyo, Japan; offered through exchange and other institutional partners around the globe; and developed and led by Temple faculty members. Enrolling and serving an average of 1200 Temple and non-Temple students a year, the Education Abroad team is committed to providing transformative global learning experiences that prepare the diverse students from Temple and our U.S. partner institutions to develop as engaged global citizens, collective problem-solvers, and leaders in their chosen field. The Education Abroad Program Manager manages the day-to-day operations of their assigned program(s), including recruitment, admissions, pre-departure, student course registration, health and safety, and evaluation. The incumbent reviews applications for assigned programs and makes admission decisions, manages the visa application processes for students, coordinates with administrators and faculty regarding curricular issues, processes and tracks all pre-departure forms and documents, guides students through regular liaises and pre-departure processes, and regularly liaises with program leaders and/or on-site program staff. The incumbent identifies and resolves problems related to their programs and students. Reporting to the Associate Director for Programming and Student Support, the Program Manager participates in the promotion of international education across the university and at partner institutions and attends special events. Supports general office functions, including general study abroad and scholarship advising and recruitment/outreach for all Education Abroad administered/approved programs. The Program Manager role requires a well-organized, detail-oriented professional, committed to student service and advising, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
