This is a 12-week paid learning experience during which you'll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. What It's Like Working side by side with a team of Building Management System (BMS) engineers to operate and maintain BMS systems in a mission critical data center environment. What You'll Do As a BMS system owners Controls Engineer, they will create and review designs, documentation, and program building automation systems (BAS) in compliance with project plans and specifications. They will communicate proactively with the operations and project teams and manage external vendors, including handling requests for information (RFIs) and addressing technical risks and opportunities to ensure design standards and functional needs are met. Over a 3-month internship period the candidate will be an active participant in accomplishing the following projects:
BMS Critical Alarm Analysis Methodology BMS Programing Library Development Develop job-aid documentation of basic BMS user functionality Use/create Power BI dashboards to build off BMS/CMMS datasets Automation of BMS reporting Partnering to explore AI/ML opportunities around BMS/CMMS and performance datasets Evaluate AI/ML predictive analytic results from BMS alarming data and develop use cases for implementation
Exposure to the following BMS Program responsibilities:
BMS Design- Review and design complete building automation systems, including controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware. Sequences- Create and review sequences of operation for common building systems to ensure functionality and consistency. Program Library Development- Document and review BAS design and manage revision control for designs programs and graphics. Configurations- Configure the WebCTRL system using Site Builder. Programming- Create and Edit Program control algorithms, including third-party integration using Eikon. Graphics- Develop and review graphical and text-based interfaces for BAS using Eikon and ViewBuilder. BMS Testing- Test programming and interfaces before deployment. Documentation- Review As-Built documentation incorporating all changes since the submittal.
What It Takes
Ability to understand and recommend modifications to sequences of operations for building systems automation. Experience with Microsoft Visio or other CAD software. Working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services. Understanding of Enterprise IP networks.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
- Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location. Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour.
