The Food Service Manager Trainee works with assigned managers to learn the specifics of the School Kitchen Manager role. This is an on-the-job training position that assumes responsibility for the efficient operation of the school kitchen and may be required to replace absent managers on either a short or long-term basis. Travel between locations may be required. Physical Demands: Majority of the work is performed by standing or walking. The work requires using hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling. The work at times requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull heavy weighted items. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. The work requires activities involving exposure to changes in temperature and humidity. Other Information
THE SELECTION PROCESS: will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education and experience evaluation; written, oral or performance tests; or other assessment methods. The Office of Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified candidates to oral and performance examinations. Oral examinations may include written exercises.
