The School Kitchen Manager oversees the successful foodservice operation in an assigned school by encouraging maximum student participation and adhering to the regulations of the Child Nutrition Program. (Position requires no nights, weekends or holidays) Salary Range: $19.07 - 25.36 per hour Administrative applications for the following position are being accepted by the Office of Human Resources through Friday, November 22, 2024. ServSafe Certification preferred (must become certified within 6 months of employment and maintain thereafter) Excellent knowledge of the food purchasing process and the ability to work within a budget Physical Demands: Majority of the work is performed by standing or walking. The work requires using hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling. The work at times requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull heavy weighted items. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. The work requires activities involving exposure to changes in temperature and humidity.Other Information
THE SELECTION PROCESS: will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education and experience evaluation; written, oral or performance tests; or other assessment methods. The Office of Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified candidates to oral and performance examinations. Oral examinations may include written exercises. Selection process component weights will be determined by further analysis of the job.
