Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Reporting to the Respiratory Director and under medical direction; Respiratory Therapists incorporate the psychomotor and age appropriate cognitive skills to assist in the evaluation of pulmonary dysfunction in patients, provide care, treatment and rehabilitation to patients with pulmonary disorders by means of respiratory therapy, and ventilatory assistance. and perform other related duties as required. In addition, the position supervises (hires, trains, schedules, evaluates, and disciplines, etc.) operational level Respiratory Therapists. Required Qualifications: Current State of California RCP License; Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care; Must be a two year graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care Program and be registered as an RRT; Minimum of three years work experience as a respiratory care practitioner; Demonstrated lead or supervisory experience, preferably in an acute care setting; Must possess BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications. Minimum High School Diploma or above.
