DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Security Officer 1, you will provide enforcement of Department of Human Services and Danville State Hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations to safeguard the hospital and its property against fire, theft, and vandalism, as well as maintain a safe environment for consumers, employees, and visitors. You will complete a vast array of duties and routines to include performing patrol duties on foot or by vehicle; completing incident reports and conducting investigations; and responding to fire alarms, emergencies, disasters, codes, and bomb threats on campus. - Full-time employment (40 hours per week)
- Work hours are 4:00 PM to 1200 AM, working every other weekend, with two 15-minute breaks. Work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs.

- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirement:
- You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
