DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will deliver educational instruction in business occupations to inmate students. You will teach a range of business education subjects, including keyboarding, business math, financial record-keeping, business English, computer and software applications, and office management. Responsibilities also include conducting pre-assessments for initial placement within the curriculum, adapting instructional materials to suit individual student needs, and integrating life skills into the curriculum. Additionally, you will assign and evaluate homework and tests, as well as facilitate relevant components and assessments for the Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma and other educational programs. - Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $64,559.00 before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business, education, business education, or a related business education field, which included or is supplemented by successful completion of either student teaching or a teaching practicum, in a business-related subject approved by the degree granting institution or one year of classroom instruction experience in a business-related subject.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
