DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Services Analyst Supervisor assigned to the Bureau of Policy, Programs, and Operations, you will play a vital role in upholding the mission of supporting the safety, permanency, and well-being of Pennsylvania's children, youth, and families. This position is responsible for overseeing and directing various aspects of the child welfare system, including child protective services, general protective services, in-home services, and appeals. You will also provide support for residential treatment services, waivers, mandated report training, and child care funding requests. Additionally, you will manage the Department of Human Services (DHS) website, handle issues related to human trafficking, and ensure compliance with the Children's Justice Act. This position is crucial in ensuring the overall welfare of children and families in Pennsylvania.
This role is also responsible for analyzing the programmatic and fiscal impact of proposed legislation related to child safety, permanency, and well-being in order to determine the effect on the DHS, public and private child welfare agencies, as well as the children and families served by the child welfare system. You will also provide consultation, technical assistance, and training to others on current best practices in the field. You will collaborate and coordinate with multiple entities within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals and families receiving services. In addition, you will supervise staff orientation training and development to maintain and improve performance.

- Full-time employment (37.5 hours per week)
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. (negotiable)
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Human Services Analyst (commonwealth title); or
- Two years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
