THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will conduct inspections to determine compliance with the laws, rules, and regulations regarding the pharmacy profession. This involves traveling to various sites in a geographical area of the state, conducting physical inspections of pharmacies, gathering evidence in accordance with procedures, and issuing citations when appropriate violations are found. You will operate general equipment including computers, mobile telephone, copiers, scanners, and cameras. Work includes testifying at formal and informal hearings and appearing as a witness for the State in formal judicial proceedings.

You will also provide limited investigative support activities such as obtaining records, executing service of legal documents, and preparing reports of activities. Additionally, you will augment investigative teams on selected investigations which may include temporary reassignment statewide, as necessary, when directed. This position is also expected to attend training sessions to maintain and expand specialist knowledge and skills. Join our team and safeguard the health and safety of the public!

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

  • Possession of a license to practice pharmacy as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
