Outsourced Solutions and Managed Services Director, Services / Business Architect

RSM's Outsourced Solutions and Managed Services team provides a strategic bridge between business development, practice leadership, customers, and internal operations. This newly created team offers the opportunity to work in a startup type environment and help build the offering from the beginning and help shape the future of the Managed Services Practice. We are currently seeking an Outsourced Solutions and Managed Services Director, Services / Business Architect.

We are seeking a highly skilled Services Architect to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable managed service solutions for our clients in the public accounting industry. The role will work across multiple service lines to ensure the services and solutions we design can be delivered in an optimized manner. This role requires a deep understanding of TOGAF principles, industry-specific regulations (e.g., SOX, GAAP), and the ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient service delivery models. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in designing and delivering managed services solutions within a professional services environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement managed service architecture strategies aligned with the firm's business objectives and industry standards.

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of managed service offerings tailored to the specific needs of public accounting clients.

  • Collaborate with client engagement teams to understand their business processes and identify opportunities for service optimization.

  • Develop and maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) that meet client expectations and comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Identify opportunities for service automation and standardization to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for managed service offerings.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the managed services delivery team.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit and compliance standards (e.g., SOX, GAAP).

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to managed services and the public accounting sector.

  • Create consistent and reusable architecture artifacts and maintain the architecture repository.

  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the architecture development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • TOGAF certification preferred.

  • ITIL certification preferred.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing managed service solutions within a professional services environment.

  • Strong understanding of service-oriented design principles, patterns, and best practices.

  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with a focus on security and compliance.

  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with financial accounting, risk, audit systems

  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity and risk management frameworks.

  • Experience with ITIL service management framework.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $114,900 - $231,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
