Position Purpose |
The
Business Assistant provides direct support to the Business Officer for the daily financial and administrative activities of the museum, facilitates an efficient administrative infrastructure in support of the mission of the Hood Museum of Art and Dartmouth College, and serves as a resource to all museum staff regarding Dartmouth's fiscal and administrative policies, assisting them with business processes as needed. |

- 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an office environment.
- Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint.
- Knowledge of using computer applications for financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and set priorities.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree.
- Interest in the arts or museum field.
- 3+ years of office administrative experience and 1+ year of accounting experience.
- Expertise in MS Office 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint.
- Expertise in using computer applications for financial transactions.
