Summary:
Our vision for this position is to help maintain the overall facility and the production equipment in a production ready status at all times while being capable of producing quality parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
- Computes dimensions, plan layouts and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.
- Connects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components
- Makes rounds of building management systems, monitors and records pressures, temperatures, etc.
- Maintains overhead cranes.
- Completes PMs and work orders; tracks time and materials needed and used.
- Performs all types of repairs to fork trucks, scrubbers and any other equipment on the production floor.
- Maintain Production equipment
- Troubleshoot Production equipment issues
- Track work completed via Work Order system
- Other duties may be assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
- Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- 3-5 years' experience in related field
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Advanced mathematical concepts such as trigonometry, exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factory analysis.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Journeyman's Certification through a certified apprentice program. (Preferred)
Additional Competencies
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely manner with a production environment.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
