Requirements

MINIMUM SKILLS - REQUIREMENTS:

    High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of experience writing one or more of the following using standard military practices:
    • Operational Documentation
    • Maintenance Documentation
    • Installation Data Documentation
  • Possess a current Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor-s degree in a related field
  • Three (3) years- experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Programs
  • Three (3) years- experience creating System User Manuals (SUM), System Administrator Manuals (SAM) and other technical documentation for DoD programs or projects
  • Experience using Adobe Pro
  • Experience using SharePoint


Description

PRIMARY DUTIES - RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications
  • Creates operation and maintenance technical manuals for the delivered EDM Systems and equipment
  • Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style
  • Assists in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations and suggests revisions to the guidelines and standards
  • Maintains the style guide
  • Maintains documentation in content or document management systems
  • Provides input to or update schedules to track document delivery milestones
  • Writes, edits, or reviews proposals and/or marketing materials

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
