DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this role, you will be responsible for performing sanitation inspections at seasonal agricultural labor camps and various food and milk processing facilities, including wholesale, retail, manufacturing, dairy, and warehousing operations within designated regional areas. Additionally, you will carry out FDA audit inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require travel and overtime.
- Position will be home headquartered if candidate lives in York, Adams, Franklin or Cumberland County. If candidate does not live in York, Adams, Franklin or Cumberland County, the state vehicle will be parked in one of those counties.
- The selected candidate will need to travel to counties other then those listed on this posting to assist with coverage of various specialty inspection types, specifically Dairy and Milk regulated facilities.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Food Inspector 1, Agriculture (commonwealth title); or
- Two years of experience in the inspection of food establishments or food processing facilities, and a bachelor's degree in food science, food technology, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
