Behavioral Services Psychotherapist- Full time- University Prep Academy- Detroit

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Master's (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counseling psychology with one year supervised post masters experience; OR
• Master's degree in Social Work with two years post Master's experience in mental health/chemical dependency setting.
• Graduated from an accredited university or college with a master's degree social work, or counseling.
• A Licensed Social Worker-(LMSW-Clinical) or Licensed Professional Counselor-(LPC-Clinical) with a valid, unrestricted State of Michigan license, (passed their State of MI MSW or LPC Licensure exam).
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years' providing individual, group & family therapy to clients, ages 5 thru 21 and their families.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective behavioral health treatment plans.
• Experience working on a multidisciplinary/integrated team; either in an urban school environment, outpatient behavioral health setting and/or primary care setting with high-risk clients/families.
• The skill set to work independently, as well as part of an integrated team with excellent organization skills.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional behavioral health services, and effectively communicate with patients, families, and other personnel.
• CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
• Licensed Psychologist;
• OR
• Limited Licensed Psychologist;
• OR
• Licensed Master's in Social Work.
