Job Description

Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy that may include evaluation, assessment, development of and/or review of nutrition treatment plans and client/family education for Acute, Ambulatory, and Long Term Care patients. Contributes to the professional education of medical students, residents and allied health professionals. Participates in Community outreach projects.

  • Bachelor of Science in Dietetics (or related field) from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved institution.

  • Registered or obtained within 3 months of hire date. (Registry eligible status upon hire is required). To remain employed, registry must remain active.

  • Missouri licensure is required within 3 months of hire or from time of acquiring AND registry.

  • Verbal communication skills required to interview clients and discuss nutrition care plans and explain nutritional information.

  • Computer skills necessary (i.e. word processing and data entry).

  • Written communication skills required to prepare reports and educational materials.

  • Ability to speak to small and large groups of individuals desirable.

  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, families, etc.

  • Ability to drive to corporate and community facilities.

Preferred

  • Two years of experience in clinical dietetics and/or community dietetics.

  • Group teaching at various learning levels preferred.
