Schedule Details:Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm. Ability to be flexible with start and end times as needed to support the needs of the department.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for direct supervision of all the technical staff and performance of diagnostic procedures on adults and/or pediatric patients. Provides specialized technical skills, critical thinking, problem solving, and medical knowledge. Assumes responsibilities specified by the Manager/Director and is responsible for the day to day operation of the department, maintenance and operation of equipment, and ensures quality patient care and compliance of technical and ancillary staff to standards established within the department. Supervisory Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates day to day department operations by assigning staff and resources to optimize patient care and efficiency. This includes rotating staff assignments to provide safe patient care, training opportunities, and even distribution of work.
2. Responsible for the department staff schedule in accordance with budget allocation, and utilizes resources efficiently and effectively to meet customer needs. This includes monitoring daily schedule and making staff assignments and adjustments where needed.
3. Where applicable, monitors satisfaction survey scores and patient comments for trends, and communicates to staff. Participates in proactive development and assures implementation of new strategies to improve the customer experience. Responds to customer complaints - investigates, corrects, and performs service recovery.
4. Coaches staff to assure a quality, customer-service oriented team is present. Investigates complaints and errors, safety issues, and "near misses".
5. Handles staff performance-related issues in collaboration and accordance with Human Resource policies and procedures
6. Responsible for effective and timely staff communications to ensure all are apprised of information and changes in a timely manner. Plans, prepares and conducts regular staff meetings and participates in huddles and other communication strategies. Maintains open communication with staff, peers and other departments to assure cooperation and collaboration.
7. With input and support from the Manager or Director, responsible for effective hiring, orientation, training, mentoring and coaching of staff, to ensure a well-trained, high performing team. Provide ongoing recognition, feedback and development, holding staff accountable for meeting expected goals and behaviors. Ensure appropriate resources are provided to staff. Provide input for a staffing plan that meets both customer expectations and financial constraints. Create a culture of service excellence, cooperative teamwork, and continual improvement. Assure an environment where Employee Engagement feedback facilitates positive change.
8. Demonstrates the ProHealth Care Leadership Attributes as assigned by their leader. Provide leadership in accordance with the outlined behaviors to achieve service excellence, organizational goals, values, regulatory compliance.
Non-Supervisory Responsibilities:
1. Set-up and Monitor 12 lead ECG test including proper application of ECG monitor pads and leads.
2. Prepare patients for Stress Test, including explanation of details and rationale of specific test. Must obtain patients vital signs, history, consent, and provide teaching.
3. Ability to perform all Stress tests under the direct supervision of a provider.
4. Understands rest results attained in order to identify results needing immediate physician attention, unacceptable results, or malfunctioning equipment. Presents tests results to provider in an organized, concise, and timely manner.
