Senior Brand Manager, Everything DiSC

About the Role:

The Everything DiSC Sr. Brand Manager is a key member of the Assessments team and is responsible for developing and executing annual strategic growth strategies for the business and creating impactful marketing communications campaigns for the Everything DiSC brand. This role will enhance brand reputation, boost awareness, drive demand, introduce new products, encourage product usage, and build brand loyalty through high-value marketing campaigns. They will work closely with Product, Brand, and the Portfolio Brand Director.

How you will make an impact:

Business Management/Growth Strategy

  • Works closely with Assessments Portfolio Director to manage strategy and execution for Everything DiSC. Works across functions to:
    • Develop market understanding (needs and competitive environment).
    • Performs business audit and outline key issues to determine and execute growth strategy.
    • Generate ideas and coordinates execution of marketing-led growth strategies.

Marketing Communications Strategy

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Everything DiSC market opportunity by being expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
  • Understand the competitive landscape-Track key competitors, develop competitive analysis (including how they are positioned) and reports, and make recommendations on how to position effectively against competition.
  • Translates the Everything DiSC brand promise and market position to impactful marketing communication strategies that resonate with key audience segments
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales and Brand teams to develop simple, clear, and compelling campaigns that resonate with our target buyer personas.

Builds Brand Awareness and Demand for Everything DiSC

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns, online and offline, to expand our presence in the corporate learning industry.
  • Provides direction and oversight on demand generation campaigns in partnership with Marketing Operations, Channel Development, and agency partners.
  • Directing the creation of engaging content across various channels like our website, social media, emails, ads, and press releases.
  • Creates and manages vendor/contractor relationships and contracts.
  • Serves as key thought leader within the Channels (Partner network, ecommerce and direct).
  • Influences community and helps define engagement strategies through virtual and in person events, social media activities and education.
  • Proactive setting, tracking, and guiding marketing communication adaptations based on data insights and analytics.

Product Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Craft the go to market strategies for Everything DiSC products, including Certification and Catalyst.
  • Create collateral to be used for target audiences highlighting product strengths, features &benefits.
  • Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for the Everything DiSC products externally, including speaking engagements and written works.
  • Proactive setting, tracking, and guiding product marketing adaptations based on data insights and analytics.

What we look for:

  • Passion for developing social and emotional skills and building healthier organizational culture.
  • 7-10 years in brand management
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Business, Marketing or a related area of study and a minimum of 5-7 years of progressively more senior marketing responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgment to identify opportunities and projects with high potential for success.
  • Knowledge of marketing-related subjects such as advertising, consumer behavior, marketing strategy, market research,
  • Strong results orientation.
  • Innovative thinker and creative problem solver with a willingness and proven ability to challenge the status quo with multiple unknown inputs as the organization evolves to a more contemporary practice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong team leadership and management skills; adept at successfully directing, influencing and integrating internal and external resources within a highly matrix environment.
  • Experience with competitive brands or like-minded categories of business targeting a similar type of consumer segment.
  • Experience with a B2B organization.
  • Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills with advanced PowerPoint presentation skills.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the UK, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
