Overview: Advance Practice Nurse - Psychiatric Services
We are looking for an attentive, conscientious candidate to work in our expanding Certified Community Behavioral Health Center within a team of professionals who are passionate about improving the overall health of individuals with a serious mental illness or substance use diagnosis who are in our care.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Services are provided in person (face-to-face) in an outpatient setting, treating a wide range of medical conditions.
- Provide psychiatric services, including but not limited to diagnosis, evaluation, psychiatric screening, physical examinations, psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, and overall treatment of Heritage clients.
- Participate in case reviews with the respective treatment teams and providing consultation to staff as necessary.
- Provide staff training, consultation and education services as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of medical resources available in Macon and DeWitt Counties
- Ability to relate to economically disadvantaged and minority populations
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Caring attentive nature
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to chart services in electronic clinical records
Education and Experience:
- Current active and undisciplined Advance Practice Nurse (APN) licensure in the State of Illinois; Full-Authority APN licensure desired.
- Current Department of Justice Controlled Substance Licensure
- Previous experience with the mentally ill or substance using population highly recommended.
- Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance are required.
Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,00 per year, dependent on education and experience
