Description

TMC, a LinQuest company is seeking a SkillBridge Industrial Engineering Intern to join our team in our office in either Las Cruces, NM or Colorado Springs, CO. The ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required

SkillBridge Internship Program Qualifications:



  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty
  • Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
  • Will receive an honorable discharge
  • Have taken any service TAPS/TGPS
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
  • Received Unit Commander written authorization and approval to participate in the DoD SkillBride program prior to the start of internship


Responsibilities:



  • Learn details of and function within cross-functional engineering teams
  • Update drawings by utilizing appropriate design, and revision, procedures
  • Research and identify new electrical parts, components, and materials
  • Support IR&D, general design analyses, and design validation efforts
  • Design documentation support and design review preparations
  • Provide support to Engineering during onsite or remote system integration efforts.
  • Manage data, including test results, Bills-of-Material, quotations, drawings, technical data sheets, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Skills and Experience



  • Aptitude to obtain competency in using electrical engineering testing equipment such as network analyzer, signal generator, and spectrum analyzer.
  • Very detail oriented and thorough in daily work activities
  • Customer skills and customer focus (both internal and external customers)
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize both daily issues.
  • Good communication skills including both written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including skill in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings to include electrical circuits.
  • Ability to understand basic electrical terminology and language.
  • Basic experience presenting design solutions
  • Ability to perform manufacturing tasks (light wiring and assembly)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required to be considered for this position
