Position Summary

The University of New Mexico, College of Nursing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for a Special Events Coordinator. This role requires a hard-working individual who will support the planning, coordination, and execution of various events, from large-scale to small-scale events for the College of Nursing under the supervision of the Marketing, Alumni and Outreach Officer. The Special Events Coordinator will assist with logistics for all College of Nursing events, serving as the primary contact and liaison for vendors associated with events. Oversee timelines and schedules for special projects and job fairs. Tracking event assets and materials to maintain an organized inventory. Ensuring effective communication and coordination with all stakeholders.

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the advancement team including handling correspondence, managing travel arrangements, processing reimbursements and making purchases as needed. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with team members and external partners. This role includes working evenings on occasion.

College of Nursing

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
