Ameresco is seeking a Senior Program Processor to join the Program Processing team. In this role, you will be working in an entry level administrative position where the primary role involves processing customer rebate applications in a Residential and/or Renewables Rebate programs for one or more Electric or Natural Gas Utility programs.

Applied Energy Group (AEG), a global business within AMERESCO, is a leading provider of Demand Side Management (DSM) / energy related consulting services, tracking software platform and data analysis solutions for utilities. AEG services cover the full DSM life cycle: planning and program design, implementation, EM&V and regulatory support.

Responsibilities:

  • Train and achieve full proficiency on the scope and details of multiple programs supported.
  • Works independently within established procedures to process rebate applications promptly with accuracy.
  • Review of customer applications on our in-house processing platform or external 3rd party platforms, confirming that the applicant and equipment installed are both eligible according to program documentation and guidelines.
  • Confirm all required paperwork has been submitted and program rules are complied with.
  • Contact the applicant or trade ally if information is missing.
  • Process successful applications through to the recording of a rebate for payment, and possibly printing rebate check runs where applicable.
  • Field inbound customer phone calls with questions on the status of their applications or questions on the program and requirements.
  • Manage and field shared email box and promptly respond and track all inquiries.
  • Track applications processed and/or calls answered/returned using in-house platform and tools.
  • Manage processing tasks to program coordinator and program manager's satisfaction.
  • Escalate questions or gaps in processing documentation, or customer satisfaction issues to program manager as encountered.
  • Begin to build and maintain relationships with clients to maximize productivity and cultivate future opportunities.
  • When volumes are low, conduct outbound calls to solicit participation in these or other programs.
  • Provide feedback to team manager on areas of continuous improvement to processing procedures.
  • Create and update processing guides for programs.
  • Educate employees on existing programs and how to handle calls/emails for those programs.
  • Travel is not required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong customer service focus and experience.
  • Experience with commercially available office products such as MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellence in both verbal and written communication.
  • Self-starter and team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism and a cooperative attitude.
