Position Information

Venable LLP's Technology & Innovation Group, Venable Blue Team, seeks a Lead Analyst, Operational Excellence who resides in the New York or Washington, D.C. regions. This is a non-attorney position.

The Lead Analyst, Operational Excellence will be responsible for the continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. This role will support cross-department collaboration by managing process workflow and systems improvement projects. The Lead Analyst, Operational Excellence will drive cross-functional coordination and operational tasks designed to achieve program objectives and support related activities and processes. The work of the Lead Analyst, Operational Excellence will be fast-paced, dynamic, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities Include:



  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex information, make data-driven decisions, and track performance metrics.
  • Experience in managing change is essential, due to the often need to implement new processes or changes in strategy. This includes managing resistance to change and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Manage task queues and track assignments across teams to drive necessary throughput by actively monitoring task workloads.
  • Proactively engage with key stakeholders to help ensure successful execution of end-to-end processes toward achieving group objectives.
  • Support people, process, and tooling programs, design and manage user feedback systems.


Qualifications:



  • B.A. or B.S. degree required; Master's degree (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience within strategy & operations, project management, product management, analytics, or related fields.
  • Consistent track record to use collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Six Sigma Certification (minimum Green Belt) and/or PMP Certification preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace required.
  • Ability to consistently deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly determined, and results-oriented.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for both VP-level stakeholders as well as mid-level stakeholders.
  • Executive presence and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across numerous stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and ability to perform well under pressure and ambiguous situations.

The salary range for the Lead Analyst, Operational Excellence position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year. This is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
