Senior Manager of Technical Accounting

Summary: Our publicly traded client is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to join their team. The Senior Manager of Technical Accounting will play a critical role in developing and maintaining global accounting policies, conduct technical accounting research, partner with auditors and help with SEC reporting. The company is offering a hybrid work environment and is located in Atlanta, GA.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the company's accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP and ensure they are complete, accurate, and appropriate to support the business
  • Perform technical accounting research related to business transactions and process using GAAP research tools and the FASB codification; document accounting conclusions with relevant support
  • Manage SOX controls framework to ensure that it is complete, accurate and the controls continue to support the business operations
  • Manage the company's SOX scoping on a global level to support management's assertions
  • Work closely with auditors and manage auditor request for quarterly reviews and annual
  • Create and perform analytical reviews of external and management results
  • Collaborate closely with peers, managers on process improvements, system and reporting enhancements and analysis of monthly and quarterly results
  • Manage and complete special accounting-related projects as necessary

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • Public accounting or technical accounting research experience

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
