Job Summary:

The Senior Data Architect / BI Developer designs and implements enterprise data & business intelligence infrastructure & architecture, while working collaboratively with leadership, end-users, & subject matter experts to create advanced data, integration, & business intelligence solutions that are accessible, scalable, and secure.This is an exempt position.

Essential Functions of the Position:




  • Design, implement, & support the organization's enterprise data infrastructure and architecture



  • Collaborate across the organization to determine & standardize a relevant data collection and aggregation strategy, data warehouse, and transactional data repository approach



  • Develops complex database solutions for SQL Server, including creating tables, stored procedures, custom user-defined functions, triggers, and indexes



  • Lead the implementation and use of new BI reporting/dashboard tools.



  • Design & build custom data visualization solutions



  • Develop & implement automated integration processes to support interoperability between internal and external systems



  • Assist with the design and delivery of end-user training, best practices and training materials



  • On-going support of existing systems & applications



  • Maintain knowledge of current research, trends, technology, and best practices related to data management, data warehousing, & business intelligence



  • Strong ability to analyze user requirements, make recommendations, and implement solutions



  • Conduct research and make recommendations on BI & data management products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.



  • Assist with and/or lead special projects (as necessary)




Job Requirements:




  • Demonstrated experience with BI tools, enterprise data architecture, design and implementation on the Microsoft platform



  • Strong knowledge of API and web services based development



  • Quickly learn and adapt to new business and technical concepts.



  • Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive and readily embraces change.



  • Strong team focus with a genuine interest and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment and interact at all levels in the organization



  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
