DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Information Technology Generalist 1, you will maintain IT system operations at a correctional facility. This will include supporting staff and inmate networked PCs, transferring files, upgrading systems, and assisting with hardware and software diagnostics. You will install equipment, train users, and maintain inventory. This role requires effective communication and research skills to provide user support that answers technical questions, as well as to analyze current software and equipment to make appropriate recommendations.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $58,035.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or
- One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
