Our client is seeking an Underwriting Associate to join their Commercial Underwriting Unit. This role offers the chance to learn how to assess risks for various insurance policies, including Workers' Compensation, Businessowners', Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Umbrella policies for small businesses. It's an excellent opportunity to start a career in commercial insurance.
*Responsibilities:* * Evaluate risks using company guidelines * Independently verify insured's operations * Review and process policy change requests * Assess policies at renewal * Participate in training for new products and processes * Contribute to assigned projects *Skills Needed:* * Strong investigative skills * Proficient in using the internet for research * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment * Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines * Adaptable to changes in technology, guidelines, and regulations *Education and Experience:* * Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with a high Wonderlic test score * Underwriting experience is a plus, but not required *Physical Requirements:* * Long periods of sitting and working on a computer * Typing or entering data using a keyboard About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
