Privately owned aviation support has been a part of PACCAR business for decades. The PACCAR corporate flight department is based at SeaTac airport and operates one remote site at Denton Enterprise Airport, TX. Our eighteen person team includes four people in Denton and provides FAA Part 91 business travel support for all divisions of PACCAR. We operate three Falcon 50EX aircraft and have senior management support for updating the fleet over the next three years.

Requisition Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Manager is responsible for the planning and controlling of all Company aircraft maintenance, service, and repairs to operate a safe and compliant aviation department under 14 CFR Part 91.

Primary Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Oversee scheduling and timely completion of inspections and repairs.
  • Oversee budget creation and adherence.
  • Provide input to strategic decisions for the department.
  • Resolve escalated issues and coordinate with other departments and vendors.
  • Management responsibility for the aircraft maintenance team.
  • Maintain a program of aircraft mechanic proficiency training, reviews and upgrades in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Manufacturer Service Instructions, Service Bulletins and FAA Airworthiness Directives.
  • Ensure maintenance personnel are thoroughly familiar with company policies, appropriate FARs, pertinent manuals, practices and protocols.
  • Maintain Minimum Equipment List (MEL) maintenance procedures.
  • Schedule maintenance personnel to dispatch and retrieve aircraft.
  • Manage CAMP aircraft maintenance tracking program.
  • Oversee the completion of Work Orders and aircraft Log Book entries.
  • Oversee Hazardous Material handling and training.
  • Monitor hangar security standards and environmental affairs.
  • Coordinate maintenance department planning with scheduler and aviation management.
  • Perform aircraft maintenance as needed.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required.
  • Broad knowledge of and hands on experience with the maintenance of aircraft of the class, category and type that the PACCAR operates (Dassault Falcon 50EX)
  • 10 years of maintenance operations experience
  • 7 years effective maintenance management experience
  • Thorough working knowledge of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices, and all appropriate maintenance and airworthiness requirements of 14 CFR.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with maintenance personnel and regulatory officials.
  • Proven safety-first leadership and culture building.
  • Professional work ethic with excellent interpersonal and communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) skills.
  • Proficiency with business software including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must clear background check for Port of Seattle ID badge and ramp driving privileges.
  • Must hold a valid U.S. passport and driver's license.

Qualifications & Skills Preferred

  • Inspection Authorization (IA)
  • Safety Management Systems (SMS) experience

Physical Demands and Requirements

  • Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing and pulling
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Education

  • Associates Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
