Cox Enterprises is hiring a Business Partnership Senior Program Manager with expertise in sustainability, ideally with a background in communications or operations, to join our team. This role is vital in helping Cox Automotive meet its sustainability targets through strategic and operational guidance, supporting over 300 facilities in advancing sustainable practices, and bridging knowledge across technical experts and operational leaders.

In this role, you will lead sustainability projects, drive change management, and ensure alignment on program commitments across our business and operations teams. This position will be instrumental in providing both technical and operational insights, consulting on environmental impact strategies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to help reduce our environmental footprint.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Consulting & Advisory : Educate and advise senior leadership on the environmental and business value of sustainability initiatives. Build an understanding of environmental impacts and how they translate into brand, cost, and operational benefits.
  • Stakeholder Influence : Drive consensus and secure commitments from divisional leaders, ensuring they're well-prepared to prioritize Cox Conserves targets and realize the business benefits, such as efficiency and revenue gains.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with teams in Technology, Facilities, and Operations to identify and act on opportunities to reduce environmental impact in business processes.
  • Data-driven insights : Leverage environmental and financial reporting to recommend and implement operational improvements for positive sustainability outcomes.
  • Relationship Building : Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders across our network, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities in sustainability projects and programs.
  • Project & Program Health : Provide regular updates on program progress and identify risks and opportunities, escalating as needed to maintain momentum and achieve project success.
  • Performance Management : Work closely with operational leaders to address any disparities in sustainability performance across teams and departments.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or an equivalent combination of education with 8 years of work-related experience; a master's degree and 6 years of work-related experience; a Ph.D. in a related discipline and 3 years of work-related experience or 12 years of work-related experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Ability to understand and work within key business functions, such as finance, operations, revenue growth strategy, and marketing, while also identifying areas for sustainable improvements.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain high-trust relationships, negotiate, and advocate for sustainability initiatives across a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and turn insights into actionable recommendations that support sustainability goals.
  • Experience solving organizational challenges in environmentally sustainable operations.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills for diverse audiences.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with Cox Automotive operations or other complex organizations.
  • Experience in sustainability frameworks (e.g., GhG Protocol, GRI, SASB, TCFD).
  • Proficiency in change management and human-centered design principles.
  • PgMP or PMP certification.


Essential Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to various Cox Automotive locations.


USD 117,300.00 - 195,500.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
