Job Summary:

The Master Scheduler drives results in a fast-paced environment, overseeing the generation, maintenance, analysis, and verification of the site's manufacturing asset production schedule while ensuring manufacturing readiness. This role is accountable for aligning with Quality cGMP compliance, process requirements, timelines, and revenue commitments, including asset availability to maximize efficiency and utilization. The Master Scheduler is responsible for designing, maintaining, and reporting key performance metrics (KPIs) for scheduling, execution, and capacity, as well as coordinating associated readiness activities. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, this position fosters information exchange across sites and global functions to manage KPIs, report outputs, and resolve issues promptly. The role demands superior leadership behaviors and a strong focus on ensuring manufacturing readiness throughout all stages of production planning.

  • 100% on-site position.


Responsibilities:



  • Generates, manages, and analyzes the master manufacturing schedule for the site in alignment with all cross-functional and workflow inputs.
  • Ensures efficient management of all communication processes to disseminate and share critical information.
  • Provides feedback for financial forecast based upon capacity and current schedule.
  • Creates, maintains, and reports performance metrics relating to scheduling adherence, capacity, and outputs.
  • Evaluate and communicate asset capacity to support new business opportunities and strategic planning across functional groups.
  • Facilitates Production Staging Meetings, prioritization and follow up of action item list.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, analytical, and project management departments to track all batch readiness items, ensuring production schedule adherence. This includes monitoring batch record documentation, material availability, specifications, sample documentation, and placing necessary orders for materials and supplies.
  • Actively monitor the status of open purchase orders, place new orders as needed, and ensure on-time delivery of all materials.
  • Promptly identify and resolve issues, communicate potential problems, and implement mitigation strategies to prevent future disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of procurement controls, including requisitions and approvals.
  • Place orders proactively, execute associated Purchase Orders in a timely manner, and continuously refine the ordering process to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to monitor and manage key materials, including APIs and controlled substances, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience required.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing required, sterile manufacturing experience preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication, documentation, negotiation, critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, detail orientation, organization and time management skills required.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, inventory management, and manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Experience with scheduling software and ERP systems preferred.


Travel Expectations:



  • Up to 5% domestic travel.
