Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) is hiring for Lead Reliability Technicians!

Under the supervision of the site Reliability Engineer (hence forth referred as RE), the role of the Lead Reliability Technician encompasses providing local reliability engineering support to the site. Lead Reliability Technician will assist with managing the overall site Reliability Program. Responsible for PM Quality Audit Program for High Criticality Assets and ensuring PM Follow ups are being prioritized based on risk. Will oversee management of the down time window (DTW) planning process and execution. Responsible for overseeing the site's Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Team and ensure PdM Program Health is meeting the expectations of the network.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure work performed is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience

  • Manage and develop PdM Techs at the site

  • Responsible for the day to day reliability functions of the site

  • Support the site RE's efforts on long term proactive work load, including but not limited to: OEE, Jam Slayer, process flow, and reliability innovations.

  • Lead the site's precision maintenance program and ensure proper practices are followed during equipment repairs. Provide support and training relating to precision maintenance.

  • Participate in auditing site's Predictive Maintenance Programs and complete solutions to close gaps

  • Provide support and guidance on maintaining an effective PdM program

  • Lead predictive maintenance data review efforts and develop action plans to proactively resolve issues identified.

  • Track PdM cost savings for all issues proactively resolved.

  • Support site innovation initiatives

  • Onsite SME for all sortation equipment

  • Lead Tech mechanical troubleshooter during high impact SEV events.

  • Work with site Reliability Engineer to complete and review root cause analysis and deep dive reports, and lead development and implementation of permanent corrective actions.

  • Provide training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations staff

  • Work with Site Maintenance Leadership to develop training and job plans for critical repairs

  • Work closely with site Planners and Schedulers to optimize PMs and DTW strategy

  • Assist Reliability Engineer with onboarding new PdM Techs for the site

  • Foster a culture of safety first within technical teams

  • Assist sites as necessary with developing solutions to improve the safety of equipment and processes.

  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and use ladders up to 30 ft.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience in mechanical/reliability engineering and maintenance

  • 0-1 year of experience in a lead or supervisory role

  • Experience with systems engineering and operation, predictive maintenance technology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to lead others in a technical role and interact with all levels of management.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil)

  • Completion of an applicable technical training program Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or on a team

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and internet usage and navigation

  • Experience in mechanical/design engineering

  • CRL Certification or other Reliability Engineering Cert acceptable

  • Ultrasound Level 1 Certification

  • Vibration Analysis Level 1 and 2 Certification

  • Experience in SolidWorks

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
