Non-Invasive Technician 2

SUMMARY

The Noninvasive Technician II performs electrocardiography procedures, exercise stress testing, nuclear stress testing, and ambulatory monitoring for diagnostic purposes at Bryan Medical Center and institutions throughout the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

*Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

*Performs high quality noninvasive cardiology procedures to include, but not limited to, diagnostic electrocardiograms, signal-averaged electrocardiograms, flight physical electrocardiograms, holter and event monitor applications including scanning and analysis, cardiac stress testing, nuclear stress testing, stress echos, and CPX testing in accordance with established departmental policies.

*Prepares unconfirmed ECG's, cardiac stress testing of all forms and ambulatory cardiac monitoring for Cardiologist overread.

*Performs quantitative calculations from data obtained; records preliminary impression where applicable.

*Performs routine equipment maintenance.

*Transports patient and/or equipment, alone or with assistance, in bed, wheeled cart or wheel chair to designated area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalency required. Post secondary education in a health science field or Associate

degree in allied health field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year experience in electrocardiography or stress

testing preferred. Basic Life Support (CPR) with AED certification within three (3) months of hire required.
