Summary of Position

Reporting to Shop Lead personnel and Production Management, position will be tasked to perform repairs and modifications on Flight Critical aircraft components. Additionally position will be assigned paint preparation task to include sanding, filling and fairing, cleaning and polishing to strict cosmetic and flight critical requirements. Repair Technicians will be required to clean and maintain work areas and comply with all company policies and Health and Safety requirements

Perform teardown and repair of flight critical aircraft components in accordance with technical instruction provided.

Perform sanding and paint preparation operations on Flight Critical components in accordance with instructions provided and Environmental Health and Safety requirements..

Perform Shop cleaning, maintenance and up keep as assigned.

4.

Perform Shipping and receiving functions to include unpacking, container repair, preparation and packing.

5.

Perform Rotor Blade Balance functions as directed.

Health and Safety Training / Repair Training and record keeping

Education

High school diploma

Technical degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Experience

  • Composite component repair, familiarization, paint and paint preparation experience preferred
  • Leonardo Manual and procedural experience preferred
  • 3 years experience in aircraft component maintenance in a P145 environment is required; technical training is a plus

Competencies & Attributes

Technical knowledge in the field of aerospace, composites and flight critical components is desired.

  • Must be pro-active and team and detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of FAR Part 145 Repair Stations is required
  • Must be able to read, write and interpret technical documents
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite is a plus

* Must be able to stand, push, pull, bend for full shift and lift 50 lbs

Licensure/Certification

  • Former FAA Airman Certification for Rotor Blade Repairs is required
  • Must have valid FAA A&P license or ability to obtain FAA Airman Repairman Certification
  • Must have valid driver's license
